Monster Hunter World remains in first place, above Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil 2 Remake, while Monster Hunter Wilds stagnates completely.
Only a few days have passed since Capcom revealed its game sales, with Resident Evil 4 Remake surpasses 11 million copies (it’s already in 7th place in the top 10 hits) and Monster Hunter Wilds selling less than its predecessor, Rise, and Devil May Cry 5, as strange as it may seem.
Monster Hunter Wilds has a serious problem. It seems incredible that we are talking about a game that sold more than 8 million copies in the first month, and that now stagnated at 10.70 million result of a very negative trend.
Very different is Capcom’s love affair with Devil May Cry 5, a game that has established itself among the company’s top 10 hits thanks to the success of the Netflix series. The 2019 title occupies 8th place in the ranking with 10.70 million.
As reflected on Capcom’s official website, Monster Hunter World remains on top with 21.80 million of games sold (29.10 if we count the Iceborne expansion), Monster Hunter Rise is the second with 17.80 millionand Resident Evil 2 Remake closes the podium with 16.30 million.
How many games sold their biggest hits last quarter? On September 30, 2025, Monster Hunter Rise stands as the series’ bestseller by adding another 300,000 copies to its private account.
And if we talk about Resident Evil, even 4 games are in the range of 400,000 to 600,000 copies quarterlyfrom Resident Evil 2 to Resident Evil 3, passing through Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Resident Evil reinforces its record as Capcom’s most successful saga

The hype for Resident Evil Requiem, which arrives on February 27, 2026, has seen the survival horror franchise rack up a total of 178 million games sold, Another 4 million than in Capcom’s last sales count.
monster hunter remains in second position, with 123 millionafter selling over 1 million between World, Rise, their respective expansions, the reviled Wilds and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
Next on the list is Street Fighter, which has 58 million games sold after the good numbers achieved by Street Fighter 6, which sold half a million units in the last quarter.
Devil May Cry occupies 4th place with a total of 37 millionadding another 1 million to his private account after a great quarter for Devil May Cry 5, a title that sold more than Wilds in recent months.
Other sagas like Ace Lawyer (14 million), Onimusha (9 million) and Dino Crisis (4.6 million) They are also reflected in Capcom’s success ranking.
And, if you’re curious, the sales of secondary titles such as Dragon’s Dogma 2 (3.9 million), Bionic Commando (the 2009 reboot, which totals 1.4 million) and Mega Man X Legacy Collection with 1.6 million were also revealed.
Capcom still hasn’t found the key to lifting Monster Hunter Wilds’ spirits, but there’s no doubt that Resident Evil is in better shape than ever. 2026 is expected to be another big year for the company, thanks to the arrival of Resident Evil Requiem, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Monster Hunter Stories 3 or Pragmata.
