
Catherine Zeta-Jones proposes good old Danny DeVito to play one of the most iconic characters of the Addams Family in Wednesday’s next season, and the truth is that no one expected it.

In an interview with Variety, Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Morticia Addams in the series, surprised to confess that he would love to see Danny DeVito in the role of Cousin That.
The actress explained that the idea came about after meeting DeVito in New York: “We were at our party together and I thought, ‘Why isn’t Danny DeVito coming on Wednesday?’” she said, laughing. Zeta-Jones maintains a close relationship with the actor, as her husband, Michael Douglas, was DeVito’s roommate decades ago.
When asked which character he could play, Zeta-Jones didn’t hesitate long: “Cousin Eso. He’s going to kill me for saying that. He’ll say, ‘Do you really want me to cover my entire face with hair? Thank you very much, Catherine.’ But it would be great.”
For those who don’t remember, Cousin That is one of the most peculiar and remembered members of the Addams family. He is famous for being completely covered in hair and for his unintelligible voice. His first appearance was in the original 1964 series, played by Felix Silla and Roger Arroyo, and since then he has had multiple incarnations in film and television.
