Throughout his dangerous journey, our protagonist will meet several characters from Greek mythology, such as Telemachus, son of Odysseus/Ulysses and Penelope; the lustful goddess Calypso; the giant cyclops Polyphemus; the brilliant sorceress Circe; the goddess Athena; or the vengeful sea god Poseidon.

With a theatrical release scheduled for July, Christopher Nolan is slowly opening his mouth by showing images of his ambitious film, revealing what his main cast is like.
To continue making waiting more pleasurable, the magazine empire revealed new official images of The Odysseywhich we have grouped in the gallery below.
The photos show Matt Damon as Odysseus, Zendaya like Athena, Robert Pattinson like Antinous and John Leguízamo as Eumaeus, plus a mid-battle sequence.
The film’s cast is completed by Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, Jon Bernthal, Ben Safdie, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel and Mia Goth, among many others.
