Official trailer for Anemonea family drama co-written by and starring Daniel Day-Lewis that marks the directorial debut of his son, Ronan Day-Lewis.
Next year it hits cinemas in Spain Anemone, film that will bring back Daniel Day-Lewis (Lincoln, New York gangs, in the name of the father) to the big screen after almost ten years of absence, where he participates in his son’s debut Ronan Day-Lewis as director through a script co-written by both.
Produced by Focus Features, Plan B Entertainment and Absinthe Film Entertainment, the film explores the intricate relationships between parents, children and siblings, as well as the dynamics of family bonds.

What can we expect in Anemone
The film’s plot revolves around Ray and Jem Stoker, two brothers who, due to a mysterious story from their past marked by tremendous violence and severe religiosity, made them they stopped talking to each other for 20 years.
Each of them seeks redemption in their own way: Ray lives in self-imposed exile, while Jem takes refuge in his faith and devotion to his wife Nessa and son Brian.
However, a family crisis forces Jem to find Ray at his cabin and ask him to relive some of the most disturbing moments of his life. Then, The brothers face the ghosts of their past, bringing to the surface deep resentments, almost forgotten fights and untold tragedies..
In addition to Daniel Day-Lewis, they make up the film’s cast Sean Feijão (Robin Hood, The Knights of the Zodiac, The city’s masters), Samantha Morton (The Odyssey, Tales of the Living Dead, The snake queen), Safia Oakley-Green (Discovered, Out of the darkness), Samuel Bottomley (cold water, The teacher), Adam Fogerty (Legend), Lewis Ian Bray (Patience) and Karl Cam Illeri (Let them all burn).
