
December is already here and awaits us full of the most interesting theatrical releases spread throughout the month. But there are four of them that stand out from the rest and that you should take into consideration.
The undisputed premiere of next month with capital letters, and I dare say that also of the year, is without a doubt Avatar: Fire and AshJames Cameron’s new blockbuster that takes us back to Pandora the next December 19 with the third installment of its most technically demanding saga.
Avatar: The Sense of Water (2022) revolutionized digital animation with its quality representation of fluids, and its sequel promises to live up to it, giving special emphasis to fire and introducing a new generation of Na’vi.
That same day it hits the billboard Guardiannew feature film by Osgood Perkins, filmmaker acclaimed for his horror films such as Long legs (2024) or The Monkey (2025), which is worth following.
It’s true that his latest release became the lowest-rated of his filmography, but even so, the filmmaker made a name for himself in the industry and we cannot ignore his new work as being among the most notable of the month.
Two unique premieres for December
Changing the subject and approaching the Christmas theme, we have the premiere of the animated film at the beginning of the month the king of kingsa South Korean production that tells us about the life of Jesus Christ narrated by Charles Dickens.
