Elden Ring Nightreign will receive DLC before the end of this fiscal year, while Elden Ring Tarnished Edition and The Duskbloods for Switch 2 have no date.
Not even the most optimistic DeSoftware They figured Elden Ring: Nightreign would be a similar hit on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The idea of a GOTY 2022 multiplayer spin-off didn’t seem to entice many, but the passage of time has proven Hidetaka Miyazaki right.
Elden Ring Nightreign surpassed 5 million games sold, guaranteeing a roadmap full of content with Deep of Night, among other new features.
In its latest financial report, published on November 6, Kadokawa Corporation (From software matrix) recognizes that the title ”far exceeded initial expectations”which opens the door to new bosses, weapons, dungeons and enemies in the future.
We now know that Deep of Night will not be the end of Elden Ring Nightreign, as FromSoftware announced the release of a DLC for this fiscal year 2025. Total sales for the Dark Souls saga were also recently revealed.
Be careful, because this doesn’t mean it will be released this year (in fact, it seems almost impossible), well The fiscal year ends on March 31, 2026. It will most likely arrive in the first quarter of next year.
Kadokawa also mentions FromSoftware’s two upcoming releases (no sign of Bloodborne, of course), Elden Ring Tarnished Edition and The Duskbloods, both for Nintendo Switch 2.
Two megatons for Switch 2 still undated

Kadokawa’s financial report not only reveals the existence of DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign, but also confirms that new games from FromSoftware will arrive in 2026although without providing a specific date.
This is the excerpt in question:
”FromSoftware is currently developing DLC for Elden Ring Nightreign (scheduled for release in fiscal 2025), Elden Ring Tarnished Edition (scheduled for release in 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2), and The Duskbloods (scheduled for release in 2026)”.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is the Switch 2 version of GOTY 2022, which includes the base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. It was going to be released this year, but it was postponed until next year.
What is more, Spotty Edition includes additional features, from new weapons to exclusive aspects for Torrenteraour faithful mount. This content will also be released for the other versions already available.
In relation to The Duskbloods, this is New FromSoftware IP as an online multiplayer game Switch 2 exclusive. It was announced at Nintendo Direct on April 2nd, and since then nothing new has been revealed.
At least now we know it’s still planned for 2026, just like the Elden Ring port. And it’s unlikely (but not impossible) that they have something else going on at FromSoftware.
Elden Ring: Nightreign is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. At the moment there is no news about a possible launch on the Nintendo Switch 2, but the hybrid will already have its (also exclusive) dose of online multiplayer from FromSoftware with The Twilight Bloods.
