The new Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls closed beta includes two new characters, Spider-Man and Ghost Rider, as well as two additional stages.
Many expected that Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls was part of last night’s State of Play Japan announcements, and it was. The long-awaited fighting game from PlayStation, Marvel and Arc System Works has resurfaced to confirm a new beta on PS5.
We still don’t know the date of the title, which is still scheduled for 2026 on PS5 and PC, but a new trailer was shown with two additional characters, new scenarios and other news in relation to the first beta in August.
PS5 players enjoyed Marvel Tokon between August 5th and 7th and will be able to do so again with the second closed beta that will take place in December this 2025. PlayStation revealed all the details with a new trailer:
After EVO 2025, Tokyo Game Show and the first beta, fighting game Arc System Works will hold a second closed beta between December 5th and 7th exclusively on PS5.
If you have already participated in the first beta, you will automatically receive an email to join the second closed beta. Otherwise, you will have to register by following a few simple steps.

How to sign up for Marvel Tokon beta 2 on PS5
PlayStation, Marvel Games and Arc System Works announced that the second closed beta of Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls will take place from December 5th to 7th, 2025, with a total duration of 72 hours on PS5.
The beta version will begin next Friday, December 5th at 9am Spanish Peninsula time (midnight Pacific Time) and will extend until Sunday, December 7th.
Be careful, because On December 5th and 6th, both offline modes will be available (against the CPU) like online mode. However, on the 7th it will be intended exclusively for online games.
If you did not participate in beta 1 (if you did, you will receive an email with instructions for joining the second beta), you must enter this link, log in with your PlayStation ID and follow the steps indicated.
The process is very similar to registering for the first beta. After entering your username, you must go to the Marvel Tokon tab in the PS Store, click on the new beta section and fill out a form.
You should receive the beta download code before December 4th, so keep your fingers crossed. The invitation is guaranteed if you have already participated in the August beta, also exclusive to PS5.
The main new features of beta 2 are the characters Spider-Man and Ghost Rider (the list is equivalent to 8 fighters), the scenarios ”Wildland” and ”Mansion X”and improvements such as balance adjustments, performance optimizations, visual fixes and miscellaneous optimizations.
