Do you like Akira Toriyama’s art? Well, you can’t miss the exhibition of the complete collection of the new series of cards from dragon ball in Japan.
If yesterday we published quite pessimistic news, centered on the new art of dragon ball which leaked from the new official store in Tokyo, today we bring you something that will put a smile on your face. And when it comes to Akira Toriyama and his technique from the 80s and 90s, nothing can go wrong.
Did you know that there is a brand of cards that focuses on the master’s art, to celebrate 40 years of the master’s adventures? Goku and company? And judging by the way these cards are sold out on the market, it’s clear that they are being a real success.
In fact, yesterday we felt like commenting that not all current art dragon ball It’s bad, far from it. We have as a great example the collections of letters from Dragon Ball Super Divers and Dragon Ball Itajagaexclusive to Japan, or the Dragon Ball Fusion World that we can find in both the East and the West.
In all of these collections, the art we see on the cards is of a very high level, even if they are not designs made by Akira Toriyama. What’s more, they are usually completely new and exclusive illustrations, as they are not seen on any other product out there.
The fact is that, as we mentioned above, to celebrate 40 years of dragon ballthe line Fusion World chose to rescue Akira Toriyama’s great art, both some of his vignettes or manga covers and his exclusive illustrations. We talked, as expected, about Sleeve reinforcement.
A few months ago, the first edition of Sleeve reinforcementachieving great sales success, and now the second part has been released, a total of 182 cards filled with art by Akira Toriyama, both in black and white and in color. Therefore, Japan did not want to miss the opportunity and displayed these new cards of Manga Booster 2 before the public, as you can see here:
Don’t they look really crazy? Obviously, completing this type of set seems financially unfeasible, but if you’re lucky you can still get a large part of the collection, even if it’s missing the typical secret cards that are almost impossible to find.
What did you think of this exhibition? Do you wish they would continue supporting Akira Toriyama’s art with a third installment of Sleeve reinforcement? ¡Kai, Kai!
