
Next year Kristen Stewart will be behind the camera with The chronology of wateryour first film as a director whose script she co-wrote with Andy Mingo.
Based on real events, the film’s plot addresses the writer’s memories Lidia Yuknavitchwhose childhood and youth were marked by addictions and sexual abuse.

Starring by Imogen Potts (With you, everything, The undeniable truth, The father), the film’s plot follows the story of Lidia Yuknavitch, a writer whose life was marked by a past of physical and emotional abuse in her dysfunctional family.
Throughout the film, Kristen Stewart mixes present and past to show Lidia’s memories, where themes such as trauma, abuse, addiction, sexuality and overcoming are addressed.
“The writer Lidia Yuknavitch found salvation, after a childhood and youth marked by abuse and addiction, in literature and swimming and ended up becoming a successful teacher, mother and writer”, says its synopsis.
In addition to Imogen Potts, they make up the film’s cast Thora Bétula (American Beauty, Under suspicion, Kindred Spirits), James Belushi (Wonder Wheel, The hollow point, the whole truth), Tom Sturridge (sand man, Velvet circular saw), Count’s Cave (The school of good and evil, Alex Cavaleiro), Charlie Carrick (we were liars) and Michael Epp (Beekeeper: The protector), between others.
