Sega announces a salary increase for its employees, just two years after the previous one and amid a feeling of pessimism in the sector.

Under the new system, Sega is introducing a more flexible payment structure based on the employees’ functions, converting part of the annual bonuses into base remuneration and applying a general increase in this value.
From April 1, 2026 – when they enter the new fiscal year 2027 – the Base salaries for full-time Sega employees in Japan will increase by an average of about 10%.
At the same time, the Sega starts monthly salary for recent graduates (…) it will go from 300,000 to 330,000 yen (about US$2,140) and this also represents an increase of 10%.
The company guarantees that the objective of these reviews is to create an environment where employees can enter with peace of mind amidst the rising cost of living and increasingly widespread social changes.
