Sora’s voice actress, Haley Joel Osment, is working on a new project and fans have no doubts: they bet that Kingdom Hearts 4 is already in production.
There are few games that, after being announced in a spectacular way, were forgotten due to a lack of news. Some examples are Star Wars Eclipse or The Elder Scrolls 6, and of course we should also highlight the case of Kingdom Hearts 4.
The fourth installment of the RPG saga was announced in April 2022, taking advantage of the 20th anniversary of the Square Enix franchise. And since then we haven’t heard anything else, despite the announcement even showing a trailer with Sora in action.
More than 3 years have passed since then, and the latest that is known (said by Tetsuya Nomura himself in September this year) is that development is progressing properly, just like that of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.

The story was posted by Haley Joel Osment, Sora’s English voice actor (also known as the boy from The sixth sense), and shows that he is working on his next project…
”Back to work”, can be read in the Instagram post, as we see what appears to be a recording studio. Many believe that Haley Joel Osment is already working on Kingdom Hearts IV despite his arrest in June for being drunk in the street.
Kingdom Hearts 4 could now be in production
One thing is for sure: Haley Joel Osment is working on something. And that something is not a film or series, but It looks more like a video game, as it is linked to a recording studio.. If we relate this to Tetsuya Nomura’s statements in September…bingo!
Care must be taken, but everything indicates that Kingdom Hearts IV would already be in active productionand one of the current phases would be voice recording.
Haley Joel Osment has been the voice of Sora since the first Kingdom Hearts in 2002, and will certainly reprise her role in the fourth installment, although for now it is not 100% official.
”I’m always the last to find out, because I’m the last link in the process”, mentioned the 37-year-old actor in an interview in 2024, confirming that the fourth part was already in active development by Square Enix.
The fact that Osment is already recording Sora’s voices in Kingdom Hearts IV means that Maybe soon we will have news about the game. Now, it’s unclear whether we’ll be able to take advantage of it in 2026, or whether we’ll have to wait until the following year.
In addition to the trailer published in April 2022, a few months ago we saw new leaks of the title with playable Mickey Mouse, the iconic Keyblade and other things.
Kingdom Hearts 4 is the dream of many fans who grew up with Sora, Mickey, Donald and company, whose release will take place in the next few years in PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. You are also likely to see the light in nintendo switch 2but it is not confirmed.
