
On the occasion of N7 Day, BioWare offered news about Mass Effect 5, its content and the live-action series being prepared by Amazon Prime Video.
On the ropes after the failure of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare is clinging to its only big asset right now: Mass Effect 5.
They are aware that development is slowand there are rumors of its possible debut in 2029; but now, the studio wanted to send a message of reassurance to fans.
On the occasion of the traditional November 7th, the studio brought news about the saga. And they are all positive: from the status of the fifth installment to the future television series.
BioWare updates on the status of Mass Effect 5
Coinciding with the celebration of N7 Day, Mike Gamble, executive producer of Mass Effectshared a new message with the community with information and some clues about the future of the saga.
The producer wanted to clarify the recent rumors that were circulating. They are due to the privatization of Electronic Arts and the enormous debt that will be assumedwhich could put games like Mass Effect 5 at risk.
“The next Mass Effect game is in development and Both EA and BioWare remain fully committed to telling more stories in this universe”confirm.
Regarding the current status of the project, Gamble says that the team “it’s completely focused on Mass Effect”.
“We are excited about what we have done and It’s going to be really fun to show you.”, He guarantees it, although he asks fans for patience.
“We have a vast universe to show, many functions to implement and many romances to carry out in the game”.

In addition to the video game, the producer confirms that The Mass Effect universe will expand on the small screen thanks to the collaboration with Amazon; but it will not be an adaptation of any game.
“We have been working closely with them and We are very excited about what your talented team has in store”he comments.
According to details, the series will feature a completely new story, set after the original trilogy. He will not resume Commander Shepard’s adventures, because, as he himself points out, “This is your story.”
And what will this new script be like? As he explains, “fits perfectly into the canon of the saga” and already has a writers’ room “very active.”
Finally, BioWare invites fans to stay tuned to its official channels, where new N7 Day celebrations will be announced, including merchandising, collectibles and free items for games like Skate and Apex Legends.
Mass Effect 5 (which does not yet have a defined title) will come to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. At least, theoretically: its debut could take place when the next generation of consoles has already been launched.
