No sooner said than done. Through the PlayStation Blog, the title’s creators revealed what’s new in Free modewhich provides a more open view to exploring Sicily in the early 20th century.
Of course, Old Country Free Ride differs from the same aspect (Extreme Free Ride) of the first Mafia because we can now visit the story settings, but in the form of challenges.

Free mode changes everything in The Old Country
For starters, Mafia: The Old Country’s Free Mode moves away from the narrative of Story mode, as there is now no plot to follow.
This variant is made up of challenges, both in new scenarios and those we have already visited in the campaign. There is everything from first person racing to stealth, action and platforming challenges.
As they overcome these challenges, players earn Dinari (the in-game currency) to buy cosmetics, new weapons, clothes, amulets and other objects.
