When it’s Joe Quimby III’s turn to run for office, he meets Beatrice, a young woman who scolds him for not caring about voters and only thinking about himself. Beatrice ends up working as Quimby’s counselor and the two fall in love..
However, due to pressure from her father to be publicly unfaithful, Beatrice was unable to remain married to him and they decided to end their relationship.
The episode explains that Marge kept her aunt’s existence a secret because, at the age of four, Beatrice broke her heart by telling her that there are no princesses or love because of what she experienced with Quimby.
