Ratchet & Clank is one of PlayStation’s most iconic sagas, and not a day goes by without its legions of fans repeating the same question: When will a new game arrive?
It’s true that the franchise reached its peak with the magnificent Ratchet and Clank: A Dimension Apart; but It’s been four years since thenand no news. Until now.
The bounty hunter and his robot friend embark on a new adventure, but in a different “home”: this time, Ratchet and Clank take action in mobile format.
PlayStation Portal

This handheld device is the closest thing to a portable console that Sony has right now, and it comes at a reduced price.
Everything about Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble
Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games and French studio Oh BiBi introduced Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a new game for Android and iOS devices.
It will follow the multiplayer formula, combining all types of game modes: from shootouts to racing, sports and much more.
“Immerse yourself in the Captain Qwark simulation and try Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a fast-paced mobile arena shooter!”says its description.
“Play with legendary heroes from across the galaxy, customize your Ranger and show off your skills in chaotic game modes. Jump, slide, collect bolts and become the next Galactic Ranger… and don’t forget to smile! Captain Qwark is watching you.”
The game wants to recover all the humor and action of the sagain multiplayer format for all audiences; a formula not far removed from titles like Sonic Rumble.
Lots of madness, as is the house’s trademark, and completely free. For now there is no release date, but advance registrations have already opened on the game’s website.
With this debut, Sony gives shape to a plan that began in 2021, when then-PlayStation president Jim Ryan said that the mobile market would become a priority.
It’s a strategy that ties in with another recent announcement: that of Horizon Steel Frontiers, a game also for cell phones (and PC)and the first installment of the saga that does not arrive on PlayStation.
Let’s hope Insomniac doesn’t forget to bring Ratchet & Clank back to consoles. Until they decide to do it, How about we give Ranger Rumble a try?
