Performers Toni Collette and Milly Alcock will star in a new Australian “survival thriller”, which will begin filming in 2026.
Four great talents from the film industry join forces to create a new thriller about a mother and daughter, who will be played by actresses Toni Collette (Jury #2) and Milly Alcock (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow).
The title of the production will be hot motherand was described by the media deadline like “a survival thriller” in which “a mother and her daughter visit a remote beach resort for the weekend to reconnect.”
Of course, things will not be as they initially seemed and “their time together quickly turns into a physical and psychological fight for survival when they get trapped in a sauna where no one can hear your cries for help.”

Lucy Nox will debut as a feature film director with hot motherfilm that takes its name and premise from the short film of the same name that the filmmaker presented during the Berlin International Film Festival in 2020.
The film will be produced by two industry icons. On the one hand, for the Oscar winner Alex Coco -the producer of anora (2024), which triumphed in the last edition of the Oscar-, through the seal Rapt Films.
On the other hand, for Sarah Shaw and Anna McLeishthrough the producer Carver Filmswho was behind the film The Snowtown Killers (2011), an Australian thriller that triumphed at Cannes.
