The collapse of a marquee in the Mata Escora neighborhood in El Salvador killed three people and injured eight on Saturday night (11/8).
Among the victims was Father Carlos Augusto da Cruz Silva, 45, Episcopal Vicar for Charitable Services and parish priest of Santos Cosme y Damiao, in Liberdade, the Diocese of São Salvador da Bahia confirmed.
The other dead were identified as Darcy Anunciao, 70; and Ana Maria dos Santos, 50 years old. Darcy was rescued but did not survive. Ana Maria and Father Carlos Augusto died at the scene.
