
Goiania A domestic worker was arrested on suspicion of stealing more than R$360,000 from an elderly woman in Ihumas, in the urban area of the capital Goiás. According to information from the Civil Police of Goiás (PCGO), the woman used card machines to commit the crime.
According to the organization, the suspect worked for the victim for four years and used the elderly woman’s trust to carry out the robberies in moments of distraction. The crimes have been committed since 2022.
The amounts were deducted from the machines and went to accounts in the names of the employee and her husband. The two were arrested last Monday afternoon (11/10) at the house where they live. The couple was released after a custody hearing.
