An attempted house robbery ended with the criminals’ car overturning in northern São Paulo on Monday (10/11). Two suspects were arrested. A third party involved managed to escape and remains at large.
Security camera footage shows two suspects trying to enter the home in the Santana neighborhood. They were caught running away when the landlord arrived at the property. Another camera, on Rua Conselheiro Saraiva, filmed the getaway car overturning and the three criminals running on foot.

According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), Military Police (PM) agents were on patrol when they were informed that two men had abandoned a motorcycle and fled towards a workshop. The police were able to approach the suspects and discovered that the motorcycle had been stolen moments before, after it had overturned when they tried to escape from the robbery of the residence.

- Two men, aged 29 and 22, have been arrested for car theft and attempted home burglary.
- The duo was transferred to the police station, where they remained at the disposal of justice.
- A third criminal involved in the work managed to escape.
- The motorcycle owner reported that she was stopped in traffic when she saw a car rolling. The criminals got out of the car and stole the motorcycle before fleeing.
- It was later discovered that the overturned car was also stolen and showed signs of tampering.
- Forensics was called and the case was registered as vehicle theft, tampering with a vehicle identification tag, vehicle reception and attempted theft in the area of DP 72 (Villa Penteado).
