A landslide kills a worker trapped at a construction site in Greater São Paulo

A 32-year-old man was buried on Wednesday (26/11), after falling victim to a landslide at a construction site in Guarulhos, in the São Paulo metropolitan area.

The victim was working at the site when the collapse occurred. The man ended up falling into a pit and was buried. The death was confirmed by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMO). Civil defense teams, fire department and military police were called to the scene.

The Rua Argentina site, where the work was taking place, has been closed, and authorities are working to transport the victim’s body from the address where the accident occurred. A total of six fire engines were mobilized.
