A man was arrested during an operation by the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) on Monday (24/11) on suspicion of illegal firearms trading. He has already been investigated for receiving a stolen vehicle and making threats to use weapons.
Civilian police officers from the 18th Police Station (Brazlandia) executed two search warrants at a farm located on the banks of the BR-080 highway in Brazlandia, and at a house owned by Vicente Pérez.
At the farm, 8 firearms were seized: 4 rifles, 2 pistols, and 2 revolvers. In addition to ammunition supplies, firearms and jaguar skins. The owner of the material was found and caught red-handed in Vicente Perez.
He had a College and Sports Shooter and Hunter (CAC) certificate, but kept unregistered weapons.
The investigation began after an anonymous complaint received by the Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) and was reinforced over the past two weeks by the 18th MP.
This action was supported by the Division of Operational Logistics Support (DALOP), as well as the Division of Special Operations (DOE) and Division of Air Operations (DOA), both of the PCDF.
The arrest warrants were issued by the Guarantees Judge of the Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT), at the request of the Civil Police.
