Abalos asks Puente to explain alleged irregular collection of allowances and “rigging” of contracts at the Port of Valencia

Former Socialist Minister José Luis Abalos, investigated in the Supreme Court for his alleged participation in the so-called “Koldo Affair,” registered a document in Congress denouncing the alleged fraud and irregular collection of allowances in the Port of Valencia and demanding clarifications from the government. The Ministry of Transport is headed by Oscar Puente.

In his initiative, reported by Europa Press, Abalos echoes press information indicating the involvement of the head of the port of Valencia, Mar Chao, proposed by the Valencian government led by Carlos Mazón, in an alleged case. – Irregular collection of business trip allowances estimated at approximately 15 thousand euros.

Abalos, who is credited with placing friends in public companies without going to work, also alludes to alleged irregularities in “allegedly fraudulent” recruitment, such as hiring at a law firm and employing five people without respecting the principles of equality, merit and ability.

In this context, he asks the Ministry to address these complaints and asks what measures have been adopted so far in the Puertos del Estado Public Authority and whether they will request a review of these events. Abalos has long blamed Puente for unilaterally commissioning a review of his time in the department, a report that revealed “irregularities.”

Another question for Marlaska from the People’s Party representatives

This is not the only question registered by the current representative of the mixed group, because it also includes the complaint of the government sub-delegate in Pontevedra, Gabriel Losada. Criticizing the visit of two Popular Party deputies, Ana Vazquez and Irene Garrido, to a neighborhood in Vigo and accused them of corrupting investigations against drug trafficking in the area.

Specifically, the former socialist leader asks the Interior Ministry about the consequences of that visit by the People’s Party deputies and what measures were taken against them if it was confirmed that their presence disrupted an anti-drug operation.
