Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group has introduced two AI solutions, Aidge and Marco, aimed at improving e-commerce operations and supporting SMEs. The platforms handle content creation, translation, SEO, marketing, compliance, and process millions of API calls every day. Tools already contribute to a large portion of the product descriptions used on the group’s international platforms.
Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, an international division that includes AliExpress, announced the launch of two artificial intelligence (AI) solutions aimed at e-commerce: Aidge and Marco. Tools are developed to improve online buying and selling processes and support SMEs operating in the global market.
Aidge is a platform that works at different stages of e-commerce, from content creation to after-sales service. With over 60 integrated features, the tool handles over 600 million API calls daily. Among the features offered are automatic generation of images and texts, optimization of titles and descriptions with an emphasis on SEO, automatic translations and recommendations, and virtual fitting rooms.
Marco combines AI solutions for international trade operations. The tool supports more than 40 languages and performs more than 60 specific tasks, including marketing and market compliance. According to Alibaba International, the solution records more than 1 billion daily API calls by Chinese merchants, a volume 1,000 times greater than in 2023. Currently, approximately 40% of search-optimized product descriptions on the group’s international platforms are generated by Marco, with an increase expected.
“These technologies are simplifying seller management and impacting the way e-commerce works globally,” says Brisa Bueno, AliExpress Country Manager in Brazil. “Thanks to AI solutions, we can overcome language barriers, optimize advertising campaigns, and personalize the purchasing journey,” he adds.
With the launch, Alibaba International and its platforms, including AliExpress, will offer new AI tools for merchants looking to expand operations and increase efficiency in the global market.
