The history of Arcor and its growth in Cordoba

Arcor was founded on July 5, 1951 with the opening of the first candy factory in Arroito, Córdoba. Its name comes specifically from the union of AR (Arroyito) and COR (Córdoba). The project was promoted by young entrepreneurs, including Fulvio Salvador Pagani.

In less than a decade, the company was already producing 60,000 kilograms of candy per day. Over time, it began vertically integrating its production to ensure quality and competitive prices. In 1967, it implemented a system of official distributors that boosted its national growth.

During the 1970s, Arcor ceased to be just a candy manufacturer: it integrated chocolate, cakes and a wide range of foods. In addition, it expanded its industrial plants, including facilities in Colonia Caroya and Villa del Tutoral, where today it produces candy, chocolate and biscuits.
