Technology is at the heart of this new edition of Agritechnica, the world’s largest agricultural machinery fair. In this context, companies seek to improve themselves day after day through innovations that facilitate product tasks. This is how Valtra demonstrated the “talking tractor” with the operator within the “talking tractor” concept.
The system allows Interaction via text and voice commands. It works from a mobile device and currently understands four languages (English, German, French and Finnish).
The assistant is trained using the brand’s user manuals, smart farming guides, telemetry data and work logs. This way, you can answer technical questions, provide instructions, or visually display key team performance data.
He explained: “This idea was born from our engineers, who saw in artificial intelligence an opportunity to unify different sources of information and give the user an immediate response, without having to refer to manuals or databases.” Torsten Dehnersenior vice president and general manager of Fendt and Valtra.
“Valtra’s promise is to be an easygoing, hardworking and personal brand, and this development fits perfectly with that ethos,” he added.
The launch comes in a year of strong growth for the brand within the AGCO Group: Valtra’s bill will be nearly $900 million this yearwith expectations indicating $2,000 million USD by 2029.
“Valtra is a very strong company. It started in Finland, but today it has solutions for all types of surveillance and agriculture. This growth is greatly supported by Brazil and Argentina, which are key markets for us.“He pointed out Fabio DotoProduct Marketing Manager Fendt and Valtra. It is worth noting that the brand is about to turn 75 years old globally, and has already entered South America 65 years ago.
“Argentina represents a great opportunity. “For us to grow, we depend largely on the contribution that comes from sales in that country,” he added.
Doto also highlighted that the technology available in Finland is also on offer in South America and Argentina: “When we talk about Valtra, there is no technology that we have in Finland that is not available in Argentina. Today the S-series tractor with CVT transmission is already marketed in the country, and the new generation that we presented at Agritechnica will soon also be available on the Argentine market.”
Among the improvements introduced by this new generation of the S Series, Doto mentioned three main points: aIncrease in power rangewith versions exceeding 400 hp (compared to 375 hp currently);New emission control systemWith a more energy and fuel efficient engine; and Completely renovated cabinwith improvements in technology, ergonomics and operational comfort.
