Minister of the Provincial Government of Buenos Aires, Carlos BiancoHe insisted on his request to the Minister of the Interior. Diego SantilliTo arrange a meeting. To reiterate his request, Bianco was sarcastic, saying it seemed “absolutely pathetic” that Santilli responded by “taking note” of the allegation. He practiced recording a video clip of the former MP in the middle of a press conference and reviewed the amounts of debt owed by the government Axel Kiselov Demands of the President’s administration Javier Miley.
“Last week, I publicly and formally asked the new Minister of the Interior, Diego Santelli, for a meeting, but he has not yet officially responded to me,” Bianco said Monday morning at his weekly press conference. “After calling me on the phone, I called him back and he did not respond to me. The only thing he kindly did – it’s funny I think he tried to do it, it seemed pathetic to me – was to tell me that he was taking note of the request.”
“I have not received any response, although, as newspapers and records show, he recently met with different regional officials and governors. The province is not only being discriminated against economically and financially, but also at the political level,” Bianco confirmed, flanked by the Infrastructure Minister and Senator-elect. Gabriel Katopoudisowner of Buenos Aires Expressway (Obasa), Jose Arteaga.
The regional government minister, Kiselov’s most trusted man, deepened his demands on Santilli by promising to contact him via WhatsApp to send him the territorial claims in a video. “Since you do not receive me, I will record a video, which I will cut later and send to your WhatsApp. Since you do not receive me and I cannot tell you what we are asking from the Province of Buenos Aires, I will send it to you. I will also send you a detailed report on everything the national government owes the Province of Buenos Aires. I will style my hair a little, so I look good and maybe you will respond to me.”
After announcing that he would be making the video, Bianco looked into the camera and read a report that said the nation owed the province “nearly $13 billion, between direct debt, abandoned business and outstanding liabilities due to program shutdowns.”
The regional minister expected three panels showing the “direct debts” of the Miley administration with the Kicilloff administration of $3.2 billion, “balances of public works pledged by the national government in the province” of $7.4 billion, and “estimated debt due to interruption or delay of national programs” of $2.3 billion. Bianco said the numbers have been updated for inflation (the provincial government, as of this press conference, claimed the total debt was $12 billion).
