The defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) asked the Federal Supreme Court (STF) on Tuesday (11/11) to be able to receive a visit from the Governor of São Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republic), in Brasilia, where he is under house arrest.
“The purpose of the request is to allow a specific in-person meeting to be held at a specific date, preferably as soon as possible, due to the need for a direct dialogue with the petitioner,” the letter submitted by the former president’s lawyers said.
The last time Tarcisio and Bolsonaro met was at the end of September this year, when the governor of São Paulo, authorized by the Supreme Court, was in Brasilia.
If this new visit is approved by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF, it could be the last before Bolsonaro begins a closed regime for which he was sentenced to more than 27 years in prison for his coup plot conviction.
