Boninho broke his silence after his ex-wife, Narcissa, harshly criticized the director and accused him of being the absent father in the life of their daughter, Mariana.
In a post on social media, Bonino asked for respect and described his statements as “nonsense.”

“I have three beautiful children – Mariana, Pedro and Isabella. I have always been and will always be here for each of them. And they know it. I have never discussed family matters publicly and I do not intend to start now. But all this exposure, so unnecessary, ends up generating consequences and becomes painful for everyone involved.
For their sake – for the sake of my family, whom I love and who freely participated in this situation – I ask for respect given the absurdity of what was said. From the malicious and irresponsible editorial outlook of those who have led this moment. I would never do anything like this. With no one. I just want to keep my kids and family safe. I remain calm and at peace. “I hope everyone can continue like this as well.”
