Car and motorcycle collide in Villa Elvira: Motorcyclist injured

A horrific collision between a car and a motorcycle left one person injured in Villa Elvira, meters away from a primary school. It happened this afternoon at the intersection of 7 and 602, in the town of La Plata.

The accident involved a KTM Duke 200 motorcycle driven by a 19-year-old man, and a red Mazda 323 driven by a 32-year-old man. The driver of the small car was injured.

For reasons under investigation, upon reaching the aforementioned corner, the two vehicles collided, and the youngest of them remained lying on the ground. Because he was not wearing a helmet, the injuries were mainly to his head and left eye, resulting in several bruises to the rest of his body.

A call to 911 reported the accident and Patrol Command’s cell phone approached the scene awaiting the same ambulance to arrive shortly after. The 19-year-old was taken to St. Martin’s Hospital without risking his life.

The car and motorcycle were impounded for forensic examinations. In the case titled “Unlawful Injuries”, UFI No. 14, the Court of Guarantees No. 3, the Office of the Ombudsman No. 1 and the Court of Misdemeanors intervened, since the largest of those involved did not have the corresponding vehicle documents.
