CPTM solves an electrical fault on Line 11-Murjan – 11/30/2025 – Daily Life

CPTM (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos) resumed normal operation of Line 11-Coral in the early hours of Sunday (30) after the suspension of the course between Luz and Barra Funda, in the city of São Paulo, due to an electrical fault.

According to the company, maintenance teams finished work at 4:20 am, that is, more than 36 hours after the incident recorded at 2:30 pm on Friday.

The fault, according to CPTM, was caused by “a rupture of the cable straining the air network in the area of ​​the Palmeiras-Barra Funda station, which occurred on Friday (28) and affected line 11-Coral and Expresso Aeroporto.”

The company stated that it regrets the inconvenience it caused to passengers, and said that it will investigate through an internal committee the causes of the problem.

Exceptionally this Sunday, there will be no maintenance work on Line 11-Coral and Expresso Aeroporto.

Earlier, a fire broke out in electrical power equipment on the turquoise line No. 10 affecting circulation between Mauá and São Caetano-Prefeito Walter Braido stations, between 7am and 11am.

No injuries were reported, according to CPTM. “The company has already contacted the system supplier to conduct detailed technical analysis and make the necessary modifications. Maintenance teams immediately began work, following fire department procedures, to restore service and return operation to normal.”
