Judge Dana requested information from Generalitat Valentinena about the alert system for senior officials’ mobile phones with information from radios and televisions. The judge agreed, in an order he issued today, Monday, to request from the state presidency, within three days, a report detailing how the alerts sent by Hallon Intelligence SL on October 28 and 29 were received, specifying the receivers, people, and senior officials in the Ministries of Justice and Interior “who received them on the days mentioned, whether via company phones or private phones.” The coach thus opens a new path of investigation, following the request for action sparked by the popular accusation exercised by the Acció Culture del País Valencià (ACPV). The entity revealed on November 5 that the presidency has a daily alert system regarding signals on television and radio.
On the other hand, the decision also requires the Emergency Department, headed by Juan Carlos Valderrama, to copy the daily press files of today and the previous day. Additionally, it requests that a list of emails in which the press kit was received, whether personal or corporate, be detailed. On October 29, 2024, the two major newspapers in Valencia opened reports on Dana’s predictions.
The judge ignores the same requirements requested by the ACPV regarding the administration of the presidency, regarding alerts about signals on television, radio and daily press files. The order indicates that “receiving devices and persons affiliated with the Presidency of the Republic must be excluded, given that this means direct analysis of the information receiving area by the Presidency, which must be excluded in the investigation.”
The trainer lays out the procedures agreed upon in DANA’s “risk analysis” and the “knowledge” that the people investigated may have, “emergency management specialists”, referring to the former Chancellor Salome Pradas and the former Regional Secretary for Emergency Situations, Emilio Argueso. The judge has long highlighted the role of the media as “sources” of knowledge about danger.
