Dana’s judge asks El Ventoro for the bill and a photo of the booth where Mazzone ate

On October 29, 2024, the Cattaruga judge investigating the management of Aldana asked the owner of the El Ventorro restaurant in Valencia for a photo and measurements of the width and length of the cabin in which the boss was located. Acting State General, Carlos Mazzone, in addition to the bill of that love that he shared for four hours with journalist Maribel Villaplana.

In an order issued on Monday, the judge gave the witness – who testified last Friday – one day to submit the two documents to the criminal case.

The coach justifies that the photo and measurements are necessary to assess whether Villaplana had the “possibility to listen” to the calls with the accused former counselor Salome Pradas or “comments or conversations that could have been had” by Mazzone about the emergency.

For his part, the provision of the food bill and the previous order “would objectively prove the reality of the meal itself in the aforementioned establishment, as well as its estimated duration, without relying on the statements of witnesses.”

“It should be noted that, from the aforementioned meal, and from the subsequent extension of the stay in the restaurant and the joint exit to the public road to the parking lot, the two testimonies given” to the hotel owner and the journalist, as well as those given to Mazzone’s bodyguards, were extracted. “The said agape extension, which will be inferred from the draft law and the order, allows for the determination of the temporal succession of witnesses,” the judge adds.

In the case of the owner of the establishment and Villaplana, he points out that “the possibility of hearing something during a long stay in the restaurant, about four hours, varies depending on the phases of the meal and the stay in the establishment. The possible interruptions of the augmented reality for the dinner service, and the possibility of hearing the related issues, vary depending on the time of their occurrence. It is not as if the meal was over, and that the customers were at the table. A subsequent exit from the restaurant and at any time confirms that the bodyguards have witnessed comments and conversations related to the emergency that would also justify what was consumed.”
