One of the symbols of Flamengo in its fourth Copa Libertadores title, goalkeeper Rossi knew, without blinking, to whom he would dedicate the new title of Miss Querido. This Saturday (29), with the fans arriving in force at the Monumental de Lima (PER), Rubro Negro defeated Palmeiras 1-0, in the big decision.
“It took hours and hours on the road to get here. Days and days of travel to support us. This title is for them, for our fans,” Rossi said.
Then the jagged-toothed Argentine goalkeeper was lost for words. After all, he was unable to appreciate the fact that he helped Flamengo become the oldest Brazilian to win the Copa Libertadores, with four titles.
“There is no explanation. It is rewarding. We fought hard to achieve this. We fully deserve it, and we are a great team,” the goalkeeper celebrated.
