The former president stated that “the hearing was conducted transparently” and that the expenses were immediately reimbursed to the club
Former Corinthians president, Duilio Montero Alves, made a statement to the Public Ministry on Thursday (13) about the use of the company card during the period in which he led the club. The expenses were sought to be justified as undeserved by the prosecutor Cassio Concerino in charge of the investigation. Furthermore, the former agent stated that he had paid the club, but did not provide the receipts in the statement.
“The hearing was conducted with complete calm and transparency, reflecting the cooperative stance that the former President has maintained since the beginning of the proceeding,” he wrote in a memo.
Furthermore, the former president stated that the payment was made “immediately after expenses.” According to him, the total did not exceed R$1,300 during the three years he spent in office. But the expenses caught the attention of prosecutors because they were allegedly separate from the institution’s athletic or administrative requirements.
Check out Duilio’s defense memo:

The hearing was conducted with complete calm and transparency, reflecting the cooperative stance maintained by the former President from the beginning of the proceeding.
It should be noted that the amounts spent and identified as “personal” were reimbursed to the club immediately after the expenses were incurred, and together they do not exceed R$1,300 during the three years he spent in office.
Duilio explained that during his time at the helm of Corinthians, he always behaved respectfully, responsibly and stingily in managing the club’s expenses, remaining calm and confident.
