A tool from the O GLOBO newspaper, created in partnership with the Eureka Group, can estimate your score on the writing test for the national high school examination. Using artificial intelligence, it corrects the text, noting errors, successes and suggestions for improvement. To use it, click here.
- enemy: Correct your writing here using GLOBO’s artificial intelligence
The student can type the text directly on the platform via cell phone or computer. Another alternative is to write by hand, take a photo of the paper, and check what the AI has captured of the writing – and make adjustments, if necessary. Then, just ask for corrections.
According to Professor Marko Saliba, from Eureka Group, the topic is a very relevant discussion for young people – the majority of the test audience – to think about.
— It is not very difficult. This gives students the opportunity to show off their text skills because they already know better from the discussion. It’s a great suggestion, he says.
Caroline Lucena, editorial coordinator at Elite Rede de Ensino, points out some ways to approach the topic:
- social: Population aging in Brazil and its impact on public policies and family structure.
- economic: The increase in life expectancy is putting pressure on the social security system and the labor market – how do we ensure sustainability and dignity?
- Cultural: Age discrimination (ageism) and the valuing of youth over experience.
- Technological: Digital inclusion for the elderly and the role of technology in enhancing independence.
- Health and well-being: The importance of preventive health and long-term care policies.
The GLOBO tool, in addition to pointing out errors, also suggests improvements. It analyzes the five skills required by the test. However, the score is only an estimate based on the AI evaluation and may not reflect the same opinion as the official brokers.
Saliba highlights that educational technology as a whole should be viewed as another educational tool within a larger package, which constitutes a pedagogical process:
– There is the pencil, notebook, and digital platform. It does not replace a teacher, but it can help a lot by being an additional tool to improve your writing and solve certain problems on the eve of the exam to increase your score.
