Jorge Chavez International Airport has a specific list of items that passengers cannot carry in hand luggage or checked baggage, in order to ensure safety during the flight. These prohibited items include firearms, imitation weapons, toy weapons that could be mistaken for real weapons, as well as any type of ammunition and explosives.

For minors, in cases of loss or theft of documents, it is possible to pass security checks with an expired DNI, passport, original and current RENIEC registration form (C-4), or original and current birth certificate. These provisions are exclusive to Peruvian citizens and do not apply to foreign passengers.
