Rodrigo Pimentel, former captain of the Special Police Operations Battalion, criticized presenter Luciano Hoque from TV Globo, during an interview with comedian Danilo Gentile. The former police officer recalled the assault suffered by the famous man in São Paulo, and pointed to alleged “hypocrisy” on the part of Angelica’s husband.

Unusual reaction from Luciano Huck to Rafa Kaliman’s baby name
“It changes everything”
Recently, Luciano Hack criticized the police operation carried out in communities in Rio de Janeiro that ended with the killing of 120 people, including 4 police officers. Pimentel, who is best known for inspiring the character of Captain Nascimento in the Elite Squad films, criticized the Globo contractor’s letter.
“What shocks me is the broadcaster, I won’t say his name here, who praised the bandit’s mother,” the former captain of The Noite, said on SBT. “Luciano Hack,” interrupted Danilo Gentile.
Pimentel responded and said the broadcaster did not mourn the police officers killed in the massive operation: “You were the one who spoke, it was not me who spoke. The man could have just inserted this here: ‘Mothers of police officers.’ I would have stayed a little longer…but he didn’t say that.”
Recalling an incident in 2007, he continued: “What’s curious now is that Luciano Huck had his Rolex stolen about 10 years ago, and he wrote an article in the newspaper: ‘Brazil needs more Captain Nascimento’. I think he was suggesting that Rolex thieves should die. I think he suggested that. In other words, when he is a victim, it changes everything. When a Rolex is stolen, it changes everything.”

Captain Nascimento
At the time, Luciano Haack wrote an article in the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo after a luxury watch was stolen in Jardines, an upscale neighborhood in São Paulo: “I spent a day in the city (São Paulo) this week – I live in Rio for professional reasons – and I had three robberies,” he said in 2007.
He added: “Me and my employee brother. We just finished the watch I just received from my wife to celebrate my birthday. Everyone is in Jardines, with armed robbers, on motorcycles and guns. Where are the police? Where are the Elite Soldiers? Who knows, even the Elite Forces! Call Commander Nascimento! It’s time to discuss real public security.”
Unfortunate process
At the beginning of the month, Luciano Huck used his space on Domingão, on TV Globo, to give his opinion on the massive operation carried out in Rio de Janeiro. “It is sad to see the same public safety model repeated for decades with no results,” he said.
He continued: “How many times have I stopped a television program here on Globo TV to talk about this issue? 120 dead in a police operation in and between the Alemaw complex. Behind this number, there are 120 mothers who buried their children.”
The presenter also used this moment to reflect on the reality of Rio’s communities: “Do you think this is what they dreamed of when these children were young and running around in or between the alleys of Alemão? Of course not. We need to fight drug trafficking with all force.”
