Among lolisters, 66% think differently than the president. As for the left without Lolistas, it is 78%, and among independents it is 81%. 51% of Brazilians believe that the speech reflects an honest opinion of Lula. 39% believe the statement was a misunderstanding.
Lula stated that “his position is very clear against drug traffickers and organized crime.” The President also said that “more important than words are the actions my government is implementing” and cited the PEC security panel being addressed in Congress.
Quest also questioned interviewees about Lula’s statement that he classified the operation in Rio as “disastrous.” More than half of the population disagrees with Lula (57%), compared to 38% who agree with the president.
