People linked to the Workers’ Party and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), are betting that the relationship should improve from February onwards, with the change of the leader of the body in the House.
Lindbergh Farias (RJ), with whom Motta parted ways, departs, and Pedro Uczai (SC), known for his more moderate style, arrives. On the other hand, those who know Okzai say his political positions are more radical than those of the current leader.
“I am no longer interested in having any type of relationship with Congressman Lindbergh Farias,” Mota stated. Bound After months of criticism of the parliamentarian’s performance, he was accused of being arrogant in discussions and seeking to undermine the chamber’s image in public opinion.
In response to Motta’s statement, Lindbergh stated that “politics is not conducted as a club of friends” and that his positions were always known.
“If there is a crisis of confidence in the relationship between the government and the President of the Council, it has more to do with the choices made by Hugo Motta himself,” he declared.
Motta also broke ties with the PL’s leader, federal MP Sóstenes Cavalcante (PL-RJ). “Don’t depend on me for anything anymore,” he told the priest in a WhatsApp message sent at 2 a.m.
