Writer and journalist Guillermina Deloppi presented in Spain His collection of poetry: “You have made poetry lose its nerve”a collection of verses written over the years and recently published in Spain.
While traveling to that country to promote the book, Susana Santaolalla interviewed a journalist from Cordoba. Deloppi emphasized that it is “a book born from the collection of the wills of friends and colleagues. I believe that the most beautiful thing about this book is its collaborative spirit.”

The writer also specializes in cultural journalism, and began writing several years ago. First he uploaded it to a blog, then started participating in various anthologies and presentations. Little by little, his poems began to spread in countries as diverse as Mexico, India, Chile, and Spain, where a group of poets, journalists, and readers depicted his poems in ink and paper. “In March and April of this year, one of my poems was part of an exhibition at the New York gallery, Pen and Brush, which brought together the works of 35 women from around the world.”He added.

Regarding this poetry collection, the author asserts: “You have made poetry lose its nerve.” It deals with very intimate topics, and places where any reader has at some point felt themselves losing their cool.. I will paraphrase a poet from Cordoba called Vicente Loy, who whenever asked about poetry, answered: “It is the only science that deals with the problem.” And that always seemed beautiful to me. I think poetry saves a lot of times. Often it is like that little corner where we shelter from the storms, that respite from this world that is often hostile to us.

The book is divided into two parts: one in which themes such as love and heartbreak are further highlighted and then one that covers themes such as loss of innocence and death. “Writing gives me a lot of peace, and I would like readers who can relate to my poetry to find, and through this book, also the peace that I find when I read and when I write.”
