In addition to talking about women’s pleasure with clients, Keyla dos Anjos preaches the importance of work and money
shame? None of that! Keyla dos Anjos has faced judgment from family and friends for her lingerie and erotic products business, but it was specifically selling vibrators and other intimate accessories that allowed the 46-year-old from Goiás to become financially independent to take care of her children and end her marriage after infidelity.
“I tell my clients that they don’t need to experience violent marriages,” he said. “You need to work, value yourself, have a good name. Selling and offering things that women need, that’s great.”
The first child was born with glaucoma, a disease culminated in eye surgery within the first 24 hours of life. The child needed care and money for treatment, and when she was betrayed by her husband, she decided to go it alone and start over. She married again, but was also betrayed.
Her second husband died unexpectedly in a car accident, leaving her with credit card debt. “It’s been two years since he died and I’m just living to pay the bills. Both marriages have left me in a tough financial situation. But I know I will get through it again.”
“I sell products that everyone uses, but we don’t have social permission to talk about them. I carry this taboo, and sometimes it’s the women themselves who rule, which is the most complicated thing. We can support each other,” he defended. Therefore, Kayla sees part of her work as encouraging women to have their own income, even if they start at home, as she did to take care of her children.
“Sales helped me because I saw another side. I would meet women who, like me, also needed encouragement. I started working as a counselor to help women in the process of overcoming problems,” she said.
Today, Kela understands that the work of visiting customers and having conversations and discussions about the products she sells is important to other women, not only for their own pleasure, but also for the importance of owning their own money.
“There are a lot of women who think they can’t do it on their own, but with my encouragement they realize that they can do it. I’m not very dependent on men, so I’ve always been chasing that. Through sales, I see how women need financial independence so they can’t put up with men who beat and insult.”
