Great pictures from the Dutch Championship. On Sunday (30/11), Ajax x Groningen entered the field in the fourteenth round of the competition. However, just five minutes into the match, the match was abandoned due to insecurity at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The fireworks display was on when the ball was already rolling. Ultras, as the organized groups are known in Europe, lit torches and smoke-filled objects as well as fireworks. Many fireworks fell on the field and the players ran out of bounds.
After a long time, the confrontation returned, but was paralyzed again. Once the ball started rolling again, torches were lit and thrown onto the field. The stadium announcer announced that the match was permanently canceled after the events.
Before the decision, Dutch referee Bas Nijhuis stated that he apparently could not guarantee the safety of the players. With the match suspended, the association that runs Dutch football must set a new date for the match.
