The warning appeared at 00:07 on Saturday. At the headquarters of the Defense Forces Prison Administration Secretariat, where screens light up in the early hours of the morning, a red dot flashes on the map.
Former President Jair Bolsonaro’s electronic ankle bracelet signaled a violation. The criminal police officers who were on duty already knew what to do.

The place responsible for the analysis is the Center for Integrated Electronic Monitoring (Cime), a unit established in 2017 by decree and built to function as a small technological barracks.
Agents rotate there 24 hours a day, monitoring in real time the steps of those carrying out legal proceedings outside the prison.

He warns
Each device, including Bolsonaro’s, sends a constant string of data: location, physical safety, battery level, unlock attempts, and approaching restricted areas. If something deviates from the standard, the center is notified immediately.
This is what happened in the early hours of the morning when Bolsonaro tried to open the equipment using welding, as he himself later admitted to agents.
But before any announcement, what reached Syme were “clear and significant signs of damage,” an internal report said.
There were burn marks all around the perimeter of the case, damage inconsistent with the initial argument that the ankle bracelet had been struck by a staircase.
When an alert appears, the protocol always starts at the same point, which is direct contact with the person being monitored. The system automatically triggers the notification; Servers connect, send messages, and ask a person to provide equipment.
In general, when the person under surveillance does not respond, Seape sends the military police a complete package containing photos, physical characteristics, travel history and restricted areas determined by the judiciary.
Official contact with the Prime Minister is via Ciade, the center that coordinates assistance from the security forces of the German Defense Forces. Depending on the case, a ready forensic police team also joins the search. In Bolsonaro’s case, the federal police were called.
Restrictions
Cime works in constant coordination with the Court of Justice, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Public Defender’s Office.
All imposed restrictions, collection times, restricted areas, distances from victims, and safety zones are entered into the system and monitored in real time.
The unit also operates with the support of an application developed by Seape’s IT department, which is made up of police officers with IT training. Through the app, agents can instantly access the complete history of anyone being monitored at DF.
The equipment used in the program is provided by a company contracted by tender, and contains sensors capable of detecting cuts, case opening, impact and sudden temperature changes, which made it possible to identify burns caused by welding.
The company is also responsible for the technical infrastructure of the system and ongoing support for the center.
Since the beginning of the monitoring, on July 18, Bolsonaro has been informed of the rules: the trading areas, the form of use, the signs that raise alerts. Everything is recorded.

When the violation was confirmed, Sebi immediately reported it to the judiciary. The report describing the damage was signed by CIME’s deputy director, Rita Gaio, and sent to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, who ordered the preventive detention on Saturday morning.
