The Governor of the Federal District, Ibanes Rocha (MDB), stated that he does not visit former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and does not know his current health condition.
When talking about the possibility of Bolsonaro serving his sentence in a closed system in the Pabuda prison complex, Ibanes stated that the prison is physically able to receive him. Regarding the health of Bolsonaro, who was stabbed in 2018 and underwent surgery in the following years, the governor explained that he had no knowledge of the situation.
“The one who will decide (if Bolsonaro goes to Pabuda) is the Supreme Court. Only SEBI (the Secretariat of the Prison Administration) will abide by it. I know the prison conditions – and we have financial conditions. Now, I don’t know the health of the former president. I don’t know how he is, I don’t visit him, we are not friends. I won’t know if he is able to live in prison and with the food he has there,” Ibañes said. Capitals.

According to Ibáñes, whatever the STF decides in the Bolsonaro case, the Federal District Government (GDF) will abide by it. The STF rejected Bolsonaro’s request for a declaration and upheld his 27 years and 3 months prison sentence for the attempted coup. But the trial, in virtual public session, can only end on November 14. Only at the deadline will the analysis be considered complete, since according to the rules, ministers can still change their votes.
It is expected, initially, that Bolsonaro will go to the closed system, possibly in the Pabuda prison complex, in Brasilia. Today, Bolsonaro is under house arrest due to his failure to comply with precautionary measures in another case.
Sepe even asked Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the coup plot action, that the former president undergo a specialized medical evaluation with the aim of verifying his clinical condition and his compatibility with the medical and nutritional assistance available in the Babuda prison complex. But Moraes indicated that there was no connection to the request and removed the request from the file.
