IASP Publishing, from the São Paulo Bar Institute, launches the book “Trincheira da Liberdade: 90 anos de Tales Castelo Branco” on November 26, at 5 p.m., in the entity’s bookstore.
The work brings together forty authors – jurists, lawyers, judges and intellectuals – to talk about the path of the Brazilian criminal. They include former President Michel Temer, lawyers Antonio Claudio Marez de Oliveira, Belisario dos Santos Junior, Tessio Linz e Silva, and former Justice Minister José Carlos Dias.
Tiles Castelo Branco was President of the International Association of Applicants from 2004 to 2006, Vice-President of the Federal Council of the OAB and author of books such as “Da Prisão em Flagrante” and “The Theory and Practice of Criminal Appeals”.
The publisher described “Trincheira da Liberdade” as a statement of democratic resistance and a collection of memories. The introduction was written by lawyer Fernando Castelo Branco, son of Hekayat.
