In the match that ended in the 36th round of the Brazilian Championship, Corinthians and Botafogo tied 2×2, at the New Quimica Arena. Ranelli and Gustavo Henrique scored Timao’s goals. Quiabano and Jordan Parreira scored for Glorioso.

With this result, Sao Paulo rose to ninth place with 46 points. On the other hand, Cariocas ranks fifth with 59.

Just seven minutes into the match, Corinthians opened the scoring. Timao put pressure on Botafogo’s ball, and Ranelli stole the ball from Newton and passed it to Diguinho. He returned it to the steering wheel, which blew out the window.

In the rest of the first half, Sao Paulo performed better, having more than 60% of possession, taking seven shots and creating dangerous passes. The Cariocas had difficulty attacking and only managed one shot.

In the 37th minute, after minutes of pressure, Corinthians equalized the game. Vitinho received it from Matuzinho on the right side, dribbled past two opponent players, advanced with the ball and passed it to Gustavo Henrique, in the small area, to score Tiamao’s second goal.
