The 2025 edition of the Intercolegial reaches the final weekend of contentions with a Saturday and Sunday full of beach volleyball decisions in Sesc Nova Iguaçu. This Saturday (29th) women’s finals. On Sunday, decisions are made between the children. The traditional student sports competition is held by the newspaper O GLOBO, presented by Sesc-RJ and supported by Caixa.

Schools are ready for this challenge. For example, the Santa Monica Educational Network includes favorite athletes Ryan Carlantonio, Miguel Nieves Galvao, and Luann Pimentel (beach volleyball always has a reserve at the intercollegiate university). The school was champion in men’s beach volleyball and second in women’s beach volleyball last year and wants more achievements this season.

Beach volleyball competitions include categories under 18 years only, males and females.
Last weekend, the indoor athletics and volleyball champions were determined. In the case of volleyball, eight matches were held at Apollo 12 Stadium, with first and third places on the podium decided. In athletics, held in Misimo da Silva, there were 38 events contested, including shot put, high and long jump, and the 1,000 meter dash, among other disciplines.
The closing ceremony of Intercolegial 2025 will take place on Wednesday, at the Editora Globo Hall, in downtown Rio. This event targets school principals and teachers from participating schools. The reception begins at 2pm, with a welcome coffee, followed by the official opening and a video presentation with the best moments of the competition.
The program includes speeches by representatives of partner institutions. The awards will take place in the second half of the afternoon, and will be held in stages, with official photo sessions. At 4 p.m., the InterSolidário prizes will be handed out, followed, at 4:40 p.m., by the Senac Rio summit prize, which includes a check for R$5,000. Then come the winners in the youth and free categories; And finally at 5:10 p.m. the general classification awards.
