In a match in the 35th round of the Brazilian Championship, Internacional and Santos tied 1-1 on Monday (24), at the Beira Rio Stadium in Porto Alegre. The confrontation maintained the intense dispute at the bottom of the table.
Inter opens the scoring through Alan Patrick
The Rio Grande do Sul team started pressing and opened the scoring in the 19th minute of the first half. After exchanging passes in midfield, Allan Rodriguez attempted to pass the ball to Raphael Boré, who arranged for Allan Patrick to finish accurately and put Inter ahead.
At the age of 36, Vitinho risked a shot from outside the area that hit the post, and Alan Patrick tried to rebound the ball but it found goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao in a good position. In the next move, Bure had another chance, but was unable to beat archer Santos.
Argentina equalized in the second half
In the second half, Santos returned with more attack and was able to equalize the score after 16 minutes. Alvaro Barreal received a cross from Guilherme, controlled the chest and fired a cross, leaving everything as it was in Beira Rio.
Missed opportunities and late pressure
Inter continued to create chances. Alan Patrick executed a dangerous free kick in the 21st minute, but Brazao blocked it. Later, at the age of 35, Gustavo Prado attempted a header, but was unable to score. At the age of 37, Thassiano finished out wide in a good chance for Pixie.
Even under pressure in the last minutes, Internacional was unable to overcome Santos’ defence, and the score remained 1-1.

With this result, Inter remains in 15th place in the Brazilian League with 41 points, while Santos remains close to the relegation zone with 38 points.
In the next round, the Gauchos will face Vasco on Friday (28), at 7:30 pm, in São Januario. Santos will host Sport in Vila Belmiro on the same day at 9:30 pm.
