After a period away from Brazil, Now United returns to the country with seven matches. The group, made up of members from several countries, has become known on social media for celebrating diversity and promoting unity between cultures through music and dance.
Among the group’s songs are Who Would Think About This Love?, Summer in the City, Na Na Na, Beautiful World and Everyday. Created in 2017 by Simon Fuller – also responsible for the Spice Girls and Pop Idol and American Idol – Now United has gone through many lineups, always incorporating new singers and dancers from around the world.
The group recently announced the Now or Never World Tour, a reunion tour that brings together members of the original group and newer artists. The proposal is to reconnect with fans and celebrate the group’s heritage with a mix of old songs and new songs.

Now United are in Brazil
Expect offers on Brazilian soil Capitals I spoke with 12 members of Now United who are taking part in the new tour that started in Portugal on November 5th. They are: Sabina (Mexico), Shivani (India), Sofia (Russia), Desiree (Brazil), Christian (China), Jaina (Philippines), Sina (Germany), Savannah (Australia), Nour (Lebanon), Bailey (Philippines), Hina (Japan), Rachel (Indonesia).
For them, this moment of band resumption, and for some a reunion, brings a bit of a feeling that “nothing has changed”, even though some of them have spent a few years away from the band. German Sena, one of the original Now United line-ups, joked: “It’s so crazy, I feel like nothing has changed. It feels like I saw you yesterday. It’s like a dream, it’s so strange.”
In the new tour, the group is preparing for a big celebration of almost eight years of its existence with the participation of many original members such as Sabina and Billy, who were in the interview, Melanie (Ivory Coast), Diarra (Senegal) and Josh (Canada), who returned to the group on the tour. In addition to them, newcomers Ariel (Hong Kong) and Luke, an artist invited to represent the United States, will participate in the shows.
When asked about the specific list of shows, the group preferred to keep it a secret so as not to spoil the audience’s experience, but confirmed that it would be a great show for fans, new and old.
Among the members who spoke with CapitalsRachel Manorong is the only one who has not yet arrived on Brazilian soil. She says she is excited to learn about the country after all the reports from other members.
“I heard so many great things from Nour, from everyone, and I can’t wait to try all the food and experience the culture and the people. I can’t wait,” he said.
