Israeli soldiers kill surrendering Palestinians in the West Bank

An Israeli army team was filmed shooting at unarmed Palestinians with their hands raised in the air, during a military operation in Jenin, the Palestinian territories of the West Bank. Check the video:

The pictures, published by local broadcast stations on Thursday (11/27), show the two Palestinians leaving a building surrounded by Israeli soldiers. The men lift their shirts to show they are unarmed, raise their hands and lie on the ground.

The soldiers push the Palestinians into the building and shoot from close range. Shortly after, a tractor began demolishing the residence.

The Israeli army confirmed the killing of the two men, but said the men were wanted for “terrorist activities” and left the building after hours of negotiations. The statement said: “After they left, the suspects were shot. The incident is being investigated.”

The Palestinian Authority, which partly governs the West Bank, identified the two dead as Al-Muntasir Mahmoud Qasim Abdullah (26 years old) and Yousef Ali Yousef Assah (37 years old). The two are not part of Hamas, according to a statement issued by the terrorist group itself.

The murder could have occurred on Wednesday (11/26), the day Israel launched a “large-scale operation” against “armed groups” in the northern West Bank.
